Preliminary Hearing Continues For Historic Sexual Assault Charges

A preliminary trial continues in Goderich on Wednesday for a 71-year-old North Huron man facing a series charges of historic sexual assaults involving youth.

Martin Cretier faces 39 charges involving ten victims.

Police say the victims met the accused at the Wingham Hospital, or through the 1st Wingham Scout Troop.

Charges include indecent assault, gross indecency, sexual assault, and sexual interference.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
