Man's Legs Run Over By Transport Truck In Owen Sound

Owen Sound police are looking for the driver of a transport truck after a man had his legs run over while sitting on a roadside curb.

Police say on Thursday around 2pm, a 51-year-old man from Owen Sound, who was heavily intoxicated, sat down the curb on 10th St., just west of 2nd Ave. E.  As traffic began to move after being stopped for traffic signal, the truck drove over the man's legs.

Police say the driver failed to stop and it's possible the did not know what had happened. The vehicle is described as a large red transport truck or large cube-style truck.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital where he was treated for a broken ankle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
