Three Pedestrians Struck In Listowel Parking Lot

Perth County OPP have charged a man with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, after three pedestrians were struck at the Food Basics parking lot in Listowel.

Police say a Ford Ranger pickup truck, driven at a high rate of speed in the busy parking lot, struck three people walking from the grocery store to their vehicle.

The incident occurred at 6pm on Tuesday.

A 74-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman and a 4-year-old girl were thrown to the ground. They were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police have charged 19-year-old Abram Hiebert of North Perth.  Hiebert is scheduled to appear in a Listowel court on December 21.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
