Ontario Curling Tour: Women's Classic this Weekend in Listowel

The Annual Women's Classic is this weekend at the Listowel Curling Club.

There are 14 of the top women's curling teams from across Ontario competing at the event including five-time Ontario champion Sherry Middaugh.

Local curler and organizer Katie Cottrill will be competing with Julie Hastings rink.

The purse is $9000 and the tournament is a triple knock-out format. It's part of the Ontario Curling Tour.

Games begin at 11 a.m. Friday and continue all weekend. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to come out and watch.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
