Residents Can Help Name New Owen Sound Elementary School

The Owen Sound Naming Committee is looking for suggestions on the name for the newly combined elementary school opening in September 2017.

Students who currently attend Sydenham Community and Bayview Public schools will be combined at the former OSCVI.

The school is being renovated.

The naming committee includes student staff and community representatives.

You can offer your ideas online through the Bluewater District School Boards website by clicking here.

There are also community suggestion boxes at the library, local recreation centres, Grey Bruce health Services and the offices at Sydenham and Bayview.

Each submission should include the proposed name, and supporting rationale. After November 30, the committee will create a short list of possible names, and will again seek public input until January.
