Snapped Tree Limb Injures Owen Sound Woman

An elderly Owen Sound woman was treated in hospital Sunday evening after a tree limb fell on her.

The woman had been walking along the 700-block of 2nd Ave. W when she was knocked to the ground by a falling tree branch around 6:45pm on Sunday.

She was taken by ambulance to the Grey Bruce Health Service where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

The tree limb had snapped in the the strong wind.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
