Wellington North Approves SVCA Levy Increase

Wellington North got good news from the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority.

SVCA General Manager Wayne Brohman was at Wellington North council Monday to share information on the conservation authority’s proposed 2017 budget.

The draft budget shows an overall increase in the levy to local municipalities to be up by $22,000, or an average of 1.4%.

However Wellington North’s contribution of about $58,600 is up by just 1.2% or an extra $700.

Council approved the increase.

The SVCA will meet December 8 to vote on the budget.
