Listowel and Kitchener pick up wins in the GOJHL

Listowel 6 Waterloo 3

Holdyn Lansink scored and assisted on three more as the Listowel Cyclones doubled the Waterloo Siskins 6-3.

Justin Hergott made 42 saves to earn the win in net. Chayse Herrfort scored twice for Listowel and Keaton Willis scored and had two assists.

The Siskins got goals from Drayton Duckett, Connor Bodnar, and Sam Cherry. Liam Devine stopped 31 shots for the Siskins.

Kitchener 4 Elmira 3

Brendan Valko had a hat trick in the first period as the Kitchener Dutchmen edged the Elmira Sugar Kings 4-3. Jordan White scored the game winner midway through the third period.

Zack Cameron, Jacob Black and Jeff Jordan scored for the Sugar Kings.

Luke Richardson turned aside 28 shots in the net for Kitchener. Jonathan Reinhart made 31 saves for Elmira.

Chatham 5 St. Marys 2

Chatham jumped out to an early two goal lead en route to a 5-2 win over St. Marys.

The Lincolns got goals from Matthew Zilke and Alessio Luciani.

Josh Barraclough, Alec Mackenzie, Steven Beenackers, Braden Henderson and Bryce Yetman scored for the Maroons.

Tristan Lewis stopped 27 shots for St. Marys. Lucas Patton earned the win with 32 saves.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
