Firearm Stolen In Meaford

Grey County OPP are looking for a firearm stolen from a parked vehicle in Meaford.

The 50 calibre Thompson Center Impact black powder rifle and scope were taken sometime Saturday night.

The firearm with a camo stock in a green gun sock from Lake Huron Rod and Gun was in a GMC Sierra pick up parked on Burton St.

Several primer caps and a box of Pyrodex pre-formed black powder were also taken.

Police are asking the public’s assistance in locating this firearm. Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
