Goderich Refers Hospice Funding Request To Budget Talks

A request for funding from the South Huron Hospice Steering Committee has been referred to budget deliberations by Goderich council.

Mayor Kevin Morrison says council fully supports the concept of having residential hospice beds in the community. However, he notes there is some reluctance to support hospice beds in the south end of the county when there is a need in Goderich.

Morris says Goderich residents in need of a hospice bed don't want to travel to Exeter but would rather remain in their home community in their final days.
