Saugeen Shores Splash Pad Meeting

Saugeen Shores council is hoping to clear the air tonight as they host a public meeting regarding the controversial Port Elgin splash pad project.

Director of Community Services Jayne Jagelewski says they want to correct misinformation that has been circulating over the past several months regarding the proposed location of the splash pad in Northshore Park at the Port Elgin waterfront.

"There is some discrepancies out in the public right now as far as the location, and I think if anything, it's our due diligence to make sure the correct information is out there," says Jagelewski.

She says it will be an informal meeting, with the public able to come-and-go as they please, adding residents will have an opportunity to leave feedback for council to consider.

The public information session is being hosted this evening at The Plex in Port Elgin from 6pm until 8pm.
