Perth OPP Auxiliary Support Food Banks

Perth County residents will have a chance to help stuff a cruiser to feed the less fortunate in Listowel, St. Marys and Mitchell this weekend.

Members of the OPP Auxiliary will collect non-perishable food items, and hope to stuff as many cruisers as possible to stock the shelves of local Salvation Army food banks.

They will set up at the from 11am to 1pm Saturday at McDonald's Independent Grocery in St. Marys, Zehrs in Listowel and at Walkom's Valumart in Mitchell

Some of the items that would be especially welcome are; cereal, juice, peanut butter, canned meat, school snacks/treats, gluten free foods, diabetic foods and baby formula.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
