Fifth Term For Upper Grand D.S.B. Chair And Vice-Chair

Trustees with the Upper Grand District School Board have shown continued support for the two-man team at the head of their table.

Mark Bailey, the trustee for Wards 1 and 5 in the City of Guelph, was re-elected chair at the board's meeting Tuesday. It's his fifth year as the board’s chair.

Trustee Marty Fairbairn, who represents Guelph Ward 6 and Puslinch Township, was acclaimed to serve as vice-chair for a fifth year.

The Upper Grand District School Board serves about 34,000 students through 65 elementary schools and 11 secondary schools in the City of Guelph, County of Wellington and County of Dufferin.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
