Kincardine Retirement Community Proposed

A company called JL Retirement Living is hoping to create a Continuation of Care Retirement Community in Kincardine, similar to a project underway in Seaforth.

Kincardine Council will hear a presentation Wednesday night about a community for all stages of aging in a rural setting.

The project is in collaboration with the University of Western Ontario for purposes of research, education and clinical studies.

The Seaforth project includes 120 units, 40 bungalow condos, 60 rental units, and 20 units for cognitive impairment, full care, and hospice palliative care.

The organization will ask council if they should go forward and look for suitable land in the municipality.
