Meaford Clerk Moving Northeast

The Municipality of Meaford is losing its clerk this month.

Robert Tremblay has accepted a job as chief administrator-clerk for the Township of Whitewater Region, north of Renfrew.

December 16 will be his last day in Meaford after three-and-a-half years.  As well as serving as Meaford’s director of legislative services, Tremblay also held the post of director of protective services.

Following his departure, Meaford council has decided to split the position of director of legislative and protective services, and hire two new staff members.

One of the two new staffers will be director of legislative services, or clerk. The other person will become the municipality’s new director of protective services, which includes its fire service.
