Palmerston Industrial Park Property Gets Provincial Certification

Minto has become the first municipality in Wellington County -- and one of only 22 in Ontario -- to have a property certified for development by the province.

The certification process for the 14-acre property in the Palmerston Industrial Park cost about $11,000, half of which was paid by the province.

It means a developer knows there will be no red tape waiting when property is purchased for development. Everything is in place from zoning to surveying and services.

Economic Manager Belinda Wick-Graham, who has worked for two years on the certification, says it saves developers “time, money and headaches."
