Winterhawks Sign Jeff MacDermid

The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks sighed former Owen Sound Attack centre Jeff MacDermid.

The WOAA Senior Hockey club announced the signing of the 32-year-old Sauble Beach native this morning saying he's expected to suit up for the Winterhawks Friday night in Elora.

MacDermid played three seasons with the Attack and four seasons of university hockey in Prince Edward Island. Most recently he played professionally in the Central Hockey League with Oklahoma City, Bossier-Shreveport and Missouri.

Jeff MacDermid is the younger brother of Winterhawks all-time leading scorer, Brent MacDermid.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
