Winter Weather On The Way

Environment Canada has issued a travel advisory for our region as blowing snow moves into our region.

Around 5-10 cm of accumulation is possible with reduced visibility.

Snow squalls are expected to develop later Thursday and a Snow Squall Watch is in effect for Grey, Bruce, Huron, Perth and Wellington counties for Thursday.

On the Bruce Peninsula, flurries that will be heavy at times, with local amounts of up to 10 cm accumulation Thursday.   Visibility is expected to be reduced in blowing snow.

Whiteout conditions are possible late Thursday as a cold front moves through.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
