Innovation is paying off at the Huron County Museum.

Cultural Services Director Meighan Wark explains over the last few years the museum has tried to collaborate with other heritage groups on events, exhibits or bringing guest speakers into the museum.

Wark points points to the recent 161st Battalion project in which the Museum helped with the poppy display and hosted a series of guest speakers at the museum.

Wark adds they also formed a partnership last year with the Farmer's Market and the Goderich Maker's Market to host the Maker's Market event each year inside the museum, so they would have a place to host their markets indoors through the winter.

Wark says the result of the various collaborations with community groups is that there has been a significant increase in traffic through the museum.
