Walkerton Used the Power Play to Beat Hanover

The Walkerton Hawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period and went on to beat Hanover 5-1.

Two of the Hawks goals came on the power play and both were by Graydon McArthur. The 19-year-old defensemen's first goal opened the scoring midway through the first period and his second power play goal came unassisted in the final 90 seconds of the third.

Ryan Winter stopped 20 shots for the Hawks. Cody Van der Heide made 26 saves for the Barons.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
