North Huron Sexual Assault Suspect Back In Court In Spring

A North Huron man facing 39 historical sexual assault charges involving youth will be back in court next March.

Martin Cretier's pre-trial meeting in the spring, will be followed by an appearance in assignment court for scheduling on June 16 at 10am.

Cretier was charged in connection to assaults on ten victims, who he met at the Wingham Hospital, or through the 1st Wingham Scout Troop.

Charges include indecent assault, gross indecency, sexual assault, and sexual interference.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
