South Huron Looking At Voting Options

The mayor of South Huron says her municipality is not ready to go to a ranked ballot for the next election in 2018.

Maureen Cole says they discussed ranked ballots, but decided against it at this time.

She did say South Huron is interested in getting more information on electronic and telephone voting.

Cole says the lower-tier clerks have been working with the county on electronic and telephone voting.

She adds they would have to have electronic voting in place anyway if at some time down the road they wanted to go to a ranked ballot in South Huron.
