G2G Rail Trail Gets Help From RTO4

A regional tourism organization has come to the rescue of the Goderich to Guelph Rail Trail.

Huron County CAO Brenda Orchard says the county put aside $50,000 last year to help with infrastructure for the trail, provided the G2G association was able to secure $50,000 in matching funds through a grant.

They were not able to get the grant, but Orchard says the RTO4 organization has approached the county with an offer to match the county's $50,000 so the project can go ahead.

Orchard says the county has agreed to keep its $50,000 alive so they can partner with RTO4 to get the project done.

The project will be in Huron County and they're currently looking at one particular bridge.
