Wellington County OPP have now released the identity of the victim of a house fire in Palmerston.
The OPP and Town of Minto Fire responded to the residence on December 12 at 2:44pm, on Victoria St. The house sustained significant damage from the fire.
Police say as fire crews battled the flames and searched the home, they found the body of 46-year-old David Hershey of Palmerston.
The fire has not been deemed suspicious, but police say it remains under investigation.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
