UPDATE: Brockton Man Faces Weapon Charge After Police Standoff

Bruce County Rd. 4 is open now between Walkerton and Hanover, following a police standoff that ended with a Brockton man facing charges.

An OPP tactical team was called to a home Monday morning in response to a family dispute involving a weapon.

County Rd. 4 between Bruce County Rd. 19 and Bruce County Road 22 was closed while officers were at the scene.

Bradley Caskenette, 24, of Brockton was taken into custody without incident several hours later around 4:30pm. He is now charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Police say this was an isolated incident and there was no threat to public safety.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
