At Trio of Close Games in the PJHL

Mount Forest 3 Goderich 2

Ryan Maksymyk scored twice on the power play as the Mount Forest Patiots topped Goderich 3-2.

Despite falling behing 2-0 early in the game, the Flyers never gave up the fight. Ryan Stulp scored for Goderich with just a second remining to bring the Flyers within a goal of Mount Forest. Stulp also had an assist in the loss.

Troy Oakley also scored for Mount Forest.

The Patriots out shot the Flyers 48-43. Mathieu Oullette earned the win with 41 saves.

Kincardine 3 Wingham 2

Keegan McLelland scored the game winner as the Kincardine Bulldogs topped the Wingham Ironmen 3-2.

Bryce McFadden and Tyler Fregona also scored for the Bulldogs.

The Ironmen got goals from Josh Stewart and Tomas Azzano. Craig Luinstra made 30 saves to earn the win.

Exeter 5 Lambeth 4 (OT)

Christian Petrozza scored the OT winner to complete a hat trick for Exeter as the Hawks beat the Lambeth Lancers 5-4.

Petrozza's game winner came at 1:27 of the extra period. Petrozza also had an assist in the win.

The Hawks have won three straight heading into the break.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
