The Warriors and Cyclones Pick Up Wins in GOJHL Action

Stratford 5 Waterloo 1

The Stratford Warriors lead 3-0 after the first two periods and went on a beat Waterloo 5-1.

Graham Brulotte led the Warriors with a pair of goals. Trevor Dulong, Keaton Ratcliffe and Josh Higgins also scored for Stratford.

Rock Boynton stopped 41 shots to earn the win. Andrew Albano made 37 saves for the Siskins.

Listowel 5 Elmira 2

The Listowel Cyclones scored four times in the third period to beat Elmira 5-2. Zack Cameron opened the scoring with 39 seconds left in the first to put the Sugar Kings up 1-0.

Chayse Herrfort tied things up midway through the second. Tommy Hoogars scored at 8:19 of the third and was joined Holdyn Lansink, Keaton Willis and Mitch Deelstra. Cameron scored his second goal of the game for Elmira in the third.

Brock Baier made 24 saves in the win. Jonathan Reinhart stopped 35 shots.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
