Horse Drawn Buggy And Pick Up Collide In Southgate

Grey County OPP say two people were injured when a pick-up truck and horse drawn vehicle collided.

Police say on December 12 at around 3:15pm, both vehicles were traveling south on Southgate Sideroad 73 when the 11-year-0ld carriage operator tried to make a U-turn in the road.

The 11-year-old and a 14-year-old passenger from Southgate were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 30-year-old woman from Grey Highlands operating the truck, and three young passengers were not hurt.

No charges have been laid.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
