One Man Injured In Stabbing In Owen Sound

Owen Sound police are investigating after a 25-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and back, while in the downtown core

Police say it appears the victim and suspect had been consuming alcohol at the victim's apartment earlier in the evening when at some point an altercation occurred and the victim kicked the suspect out of the unit.

The two came in contact later on in the downtown core and the victim was stabbed with a knife.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A 30-year-old Owen Sound man is charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order.   He is in custody pending a bail hearing on Wednesday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
