Kincardine Wins Last Game of 2016

Payton Dunlop scored back to back in the second and added two assists in the Kincardine Bulldogs 7-3 win over Goderich.

The Flyers were in the lead briefly when Ryan Stulp scored with 20 second remaining in the first but Dunlop scored at 1:43 of the second to tie the game and again just over two minutes later to put the Bulldogs ahead. Bryce McFadden scored midway through the second to put Kincardine up 3-1. Tyler Stacey scored 11 seconds later for Goderich. Jesse Gunn got one past Branden Bean to give the Bulldogs a 4-2 advantage.

Kincardine's McFadden scored his second goal of the game at 7:37 of the third. Keegan Angel and Mike Fiegehen also scored for Kincardine in the third. Stulp had his second goal of the game for Goderich with just a minute and a half left in the game.

Craig Luinstra earned the win with 22 saves. Bean stopped 24 in the loss. Kincardine is three points back of Mitchell for second place in the Pollock Division.

Goderich has one more game to play Friday night before the break. Kincardine is off until January 6.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
