Kincardine Doubles EHC Dubendorf

The Kincardine Bulldogs doubled EHC Dubendorf from Switzerland 4-2 in an international friendly between the two clubs.

Keegan Angel opened the scoring for Kincardine early in the first and Bryce McFadden put the Bulldogs up 2-0 with a goal at 12:16 of the opening frame. Sven Seiler answered for Dubendorf less than a minute later to put the visiting team within a goal heading into the second.

The Bulldogs' Tyler Fregona was the lone scorer in the second, assisted by Grant Stevens with just one second left in the middle frame.

Jesse Gunn put the Bulldogs up 4-1 with just two-and-a-half minutes left in regulation. Stefan Diezi showed Dubendorf was not about to give up, scoring with 90 seconds left on the clock.

Craig Luinstra earned the win wih 13 saves in just under 30 minutes of work. Malcom Young made 15 saves in relief. Manuel Rufer stopped 25 shots for EHC Dubendorf.

EHC Dubendorf will now play the Mount Forest Patriots tonight at 8 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
