Winter Strikes In 2017

We may be in for a lengthy blast of winter weather.

Grey and Bruce counties are currently under under a snow squall warning, with the rest of the region under a snow squall watch.

A much colder air mass is moving down from northern Michigan, and with it a strong westerly wind and the potential for significant snowfall.

Forecasters are calling for 5-10cm of snowfall on Wednesday, with the possibility of another 5-10cm overnight, and a further 5-10cm on Thursday. The wind will cause extensive blowing snow and potential whiteout conditions.

Roads are slippery, slushy and track-bare in sections of Grey-Bruce, and northern Huron, Perth and Wellington. Visibility is reduced at times. We are also going to hit a stretch of very cold days and nights, possibly the coldest so far this winter.
