Attack Beat the Best in the League

The Owen Sound Attack won their eighth game in a row defeating the best team in the league, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, 6-1.

Matt Schmalz lead the Attack's offense with a pair of goals and an assist. Jonah Gadjovich and Sean Durzi both scored and set up one more. Maksim Sushko and Nick Suzuki had the Attack's other goals.

Michael McNiven showed why he's the best goalie in the league, turning aside 33 shots for Owen Sound. McNiven didn't allow a goal until the final 32 seconds of the game when the Soo's Boris Katchouk scored shorthanded to ruin McNiven's chance at a shut out.

The Attack chased Joseph Raaymakers from the Greyhounds net after scoring five times over two periods on 31 shots. Four of the Attacks goals came in the second period. Matthew Villalta allowed one goal on 10 shots in relief.
