UPDATE: Perth Line 86 Reopened After Crash Injures Four

Four people, including two children, have been taken to hospital following a crash that closed Perth Line 86 east of Listowel.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday around 1pm, an SUV and a minivan collided while traveling on Perth Line 86.

The driver of the minivan, a 39-year-old from the Waterloo Region, had to be extricated and was taken airlifted to a London hospital in serious but stable condition.

Two passengers in the minivan, an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old, were injured in the crash. One has been taken to a London hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the other was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries. The 26-year-old from Tiny Township was treated at a local hospital and released.

Perth Line 86 was closed for several hours between Perth roads 140 and 147. The road was reopened to traffic around 5pm.

Police say an investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
