Million Dollar Winners In Wingham

There were a lot of smiling faces in the Blackburn Radio studios and offices in Wingham on Tuesday.

Nearly three-quarters of the employees are part of a group that will share in a $1-million lottery jackpot.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation validated the ticket Monday evening from the Friday, January 6 Lotto Max draw.

The 27-member Wingham group, which includes staff and managers, has been purchasing tickets for over nine years, with each member throwing in $2 per week.

This is the first time they have won a monetary prize.

Each member of the lottery group will receive $37,000 as part of the $1-million Max Millions windfall.
