Huron OPP Ride Checks Pull 13 Motorists Off The Road

Huron County OPP held the highest number of ride checks in the region during the month and a half long Festive Ride campaign.

Officers set up 264 different checkpoints between November 21 and January 7.

Five motorists received warn range suspensions, while another eight drivers were charged with over 80 mg, impaired  driving and refusal offences.

The OPP say the number of checkpoints and high level of police visibility helped keep local roads safe from alleged drunk or drugged drivers.
