UPDATE: Power Restoration Continues Wednesday

Now that the wind speed has diminished, Hydro One power restoration crews are assessing where the damage occurred after Tuesday night's wind storm.

Wind gusts of 70-90 km/h were reported in some areas, and caused widespread power outages on many Hydro One circuits.

There were an estimated 60,000 customers affected in Hydro One's service territory.

Locally, there are still scattered power outages in or near Owen Sound, Flesherton, Teeswater, and Meaford.

Power restoration is t as late as 11 pm for some customers.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
