Bruce Power Donates Equipment To Grey County Fire Services

Bruce Power is donating a surplus emergency vehicle to Grey County Fire Services.

The mobile air/light unit is used to refill firefighters’ air cylinders.

Al Davis, Bruce Power’s acting chief of Emergency Protective Services, says there is great value in locating the unit in Grey County, as it will enhance emergency response.

“As well as helping out Grey County, it will also support mutual aid with Bruce County,” says Davis. “The unit will be deployable to Bruce County communities that are closer to Grey County, reducing the demand on Bruce Power’s site equipment during emergency response.”

Davis says building partnerships with our local communities to enhance emergency response capabilities is important to Bruce Power.

“This donation demonstrates a commitment to our Number 1 value of safety first, while enhancing emergency response capabilities in the region,” he says.
