OPP Focus Safety Patrol On Hwy 6 In Wellington North

Wellington County OPP were out in force on Hwy. 6 between Arthur and Mount Forest this month to reduce intersection related collisions.

A focused initiative on Hwy. 6 along with the Hanlon Expressway involved over 30 hours of patrol time

No intersection collisions occurred on the highway between January 10 and January 20.

However, officers handed out seven highway traffic act warnings, one drug warning, eight speeding tickets, two racing charges, and a distracted driving charge.

On motorist was cited for failing to move over for an emergency vehicle, while another was driving without insurance.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
