Kincardine To Consider Highway Location For Tourism Information

Kincardine Council will consider leasing space for a visitor and information centre for the next three years on Hwy. 21, with a satellite tourism service offered downtown at the Arts Centre.

A report being brought to council Wednesday night says staff have approached Beverley McLelland for the three-year lease agreement at 1802 Hwy. 21, for $875 a month.

The town's lease agreement with the Chamber of Commerce on Queen St. ends in April.

Last summer, council passed a resolution to relocate the centre to a highway location with a satellite operation downtown.

A staff report says the former location of the centre on Hwy. 21 is the only available site with room to host the facility.
