Fentanyl Powder, Crystal Meth And Other Drugs Seized In Owen Sound

Three people are facing charges after police seized quantities of various drugs during a drug bust in Owen Sound.

The Owen Sound Police Service says on Thursday, fentanyl powder, methamphetamine (crystal meth), marijuana, hash (cannabis resin) and Oxycontin pills were seized in the area of 9th Ave. E between 8th St. E and 7th St. E.

A 51-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both from Owen Sound, were arrested, and face several charges including possession of the seized drugs and failing to comply with a probation order.

A 43-year-old Markdale man was also arrested and is charged with possession of fentanyl.

Police say an investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
