UPDATE: Weather Statement for Midwestern Ontario

Midwestern Ontario could be looking at possible snow, freezing rain, or rain this week.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the entire region, including the following areas:

  • Wingham - Blyth - Northern Huron County
  • Goderich - Bluewater - Southern Huron County
  • Listowel - Milverton - Northern Perth County
  • Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County
  • Bruce Peninsula - Sauble Beach - Tobermory
  • Hanover - Dundalk - Southern Grey County
  • Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County
  • Saugeen Shores - Kincardine - Southern Bruce County
The weather agency says an area of low pressure will bring a mixed bag of precipitation to the region on Tuesday, though it is too soon to say what kind of weather this will involve.

Accumulating snow and several hours of freezing rain are possible with some rain also possible for areas closer to Lake Ontario.

There is still considerable uncertainty to the track of the low pressure area, which may affect how much snow, freezing rain, or rain will fall in a particular location.

Travel in the area may be difficult Tuesday.
