Huron Bruce MP Calls Charles Mann A True Hero

Huron Bruce MP Ben Lobb stood in the House of Commons to recognize former Kincardine Mayor Charles Mann as a true Canadian hero.

Lobb says Mann volunteered to serve on the Devil's Brigade during World War II and was awarded the US Congressional Gold Medal for fighting bravely in Italy and France.

"Charles served the community of Kincardine with distinction with over 20 years on municipal council, 13 years of those as mayor," says Lobb.

Mann was one of Canada's first Nuclear operators, was named Kincardine Citizen of the Year and was a recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Mann passed away in January at the age of 94.
