PJHL: Hanover and Mitchell Advance to Semi Finals

Thamesford 7 Exeter 6

Exeter fell behind by three goals in the first and rallied to take a 4-3 lead at the end of the second but couldn't hold on and lost 7-6 to Thamesford.

Michael Nutt scored on hte power play with just 38 seconds left in regulation to give the Trojans the win.

Christian Petrozza and Max Bannon led the Hawks offense with a goal and two assists each.

Dane Gubbels made 26 saves for Exeter. Tyler Letchford earned the win for Thamesford with 28 saves.

Hanover 5 Kincardine 3

The Hanover Barons advanced to the Pollock Division semi finals with a 5-3 win over Kincardine in Game 6.

Matt Shields had a hat trick for the Barons. Brodie LeMay and Jarrett Kuntz each scored and set up two more in the win.

Braeden Ellis stopped 36 shots for Hanover while Craig Luinstra made 37 saves for the Bulldogs.

Mitchell 6 Goderich 0

Wyatt Nicholson made 22 saves to earn the shut out as Mitchell defeated Goderich 6-0 in Game 5 to win that series 4-1.

Derek Elliot led the Hawks with a goal and three assists. Nathan Templeman and Jake Finlayson each scored and had two assists in the victory.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
