Belgrave House Fire Causes $300K In Damages

Damage is pegged at around $300,000 after a fire broke out at a home in Belgrave.

The North Huron fire department says firefighters responded to the home on Queen St. at around 4pm on Monday, after a passerby called it in.

No one was home when fire crews arrived at the scene and no one was injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

London Rd. was closed for several hours until just before 10pm while fire crews were at the scene.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
