Several Huron County Men Fined For Hunting Offences

Four Huron County men have been fined for hunting offences that occurred at a camp north of Clinton.

Conservation officers found that back in December, a Goderich man used an Auburn man's deer seal when he shot and killed a deer. The Goderich man has been fined $1,000 while the Auburn man faces a $500 fine.

A Nile man has also been fined $500 for hunting two days without a valid deer licence.

As well, a Clinton man was fined $250 for possessing another man's deer seal, which was left at the hunt camp he owned.

Hunters are reminded that they are required to be in possession of their own licences and game seals. It is illegal to use or possess any licence or game seal that was issued to another person.
