GOJHL Wrap-Up: Cyclones and Sugar Kings Win

Listowel 4 Stratford 3

Jamie Huber struck twice on the power play in the second period as Listowel edged Stratford 4-3.

Jakob Lee scored the game winner at 5:35 of the third period.

Brock Baier made 20 saves for the Cyclones. Rock Boynton stopped 43 shots for the Warriors.

Listowel out shot Stratford 47-23 and were 3-11 on the power play. Stratford went 1-6.

Elmira 5 Kitchener 1

Jeremey Goodwin scored the game winner on the power play at 6:02 of the second period as the Elmira Sugar Kings defeated Kitchener 5-1. Quinten Bruce's power play goal at 11:01 of the middle frame added insurance for Elmira.

Both goalies faced 36 shots but it was Jonathan Reinhart who came through with four more saves to lead Elmira to victory.

Matt Murray and Andrew McIntyre  led the Sugar Kings offense with a goal and an assist each.

Waterloo 4 Cambridge 0

Liam Devine stopped all 32 shots he faced as the Waterloo Siskins topped the Cambridge Winterhawks 4-0.

Zach Leonard, Sam Cherry, Karter Renouf and Drayton Ducketts scored for the Siskins.

Max Wright made 25 saves in net for the Winterhawks.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
