OPP Ask For Help In Search For Missing Sebringville Man

Residents in Sebringville and surrounding areas are being asked to check their outbuildings and property as the search continues for a missing man.

Derek Ritz, 51, was last seen in the Avonton Rd. area of Sebringville on Saturday, December 31, sometime before 3am.  Ritz is known to travel on foot between Sebringville and Stratford.

He's about 5'11" tall, 170 lbs, with shoulder length brown hair. He has brown eyes and a tattoo on his right forearm of a woman with a snake.

He was wearing blue jeans, a dark colored shirt and a dark colored leather motorcycle jacket. He was possibly carrying an orange backpack.

Now that most of the snow has melted, Perth County OPP are asking residents to check their properties and outbuildings for any evidence that may assist in locating Ritz.
