Mail-In Ballots For Wellington North Voters In 2018

Wellington North council has decided to go for a mail-in vote in its 2018 municipal election.

Wellington North tried the mail-in ballot in a byelection in 2015 and it appeared to increase the voter turnout.

A staff report recommended going to the mail-in ballot, citing such things as the election not being affected by weather and the possibility of increasing voter turnout.

Other area municipalities already going for the mail-in vote are Mapleton, Minto and Centre Wellington.
