Goderich Mayor Opposes Rainbow Crosswalk

The mayor of Goderich says he believes a rainbow crosswalk on the Square in Goderich would be a step backwards.

Kevin Morrison says he is openly gay and has always found Goderich to be a welcoming and inclusive community.

He says creating a rainbow crosswalk separates gay people from the community, rather than including them and it also invites complaints for any number of other minorities.

Morrison says he does not support the idea of a rainbow crosswalk because he does not believe it brings the community closer together, but instead attempts to solve a problem that doesn't exist in Goderich.
